昂坪360 Ngong Ping 360

Ngong Ping 360 is a project on Lantau Island including the development of Ngong Ping Cable Car and the Ngong Ping Village.

The Ngong Ping Village is designed to show the traditional Chinese architectural designs as a feature. The main attractios of Ngong Ping Village include Walking with Buddha, the Monkey’s Tale Theatre and the Ngong Ping Tea House.


The cable car, which is the largest cable car system in the world, links Tung Chung and Ngong Ping. The 360 in the name refers to the three hundreds and sixty degree- view of Lantau Island. The ride lasts for 25 minutes and you can see panoramic views over the North Lantau Country Park, the South China Sea, Hong Kong International Airport, the Tung Chung valley, Ngong Ping Plateau and surrounding terrain and waterways through the journey.


As you have arrived at Ngong Ping, you can see the Big Buddha and the Po Lin Monastery. 天壇大佛 tin1 taan4 daai6 fat6 Tian Tan Buddha is a large bronze statue of the Buddha located at Ngong Ping. It is the world’s tallest outdoor seated bronze Buddha. You can spend a day climbing 268 steps up the Buddha and having a speical vegetarian meal called齋zaai1 at Po Lin Monastery nearby.
