“頂你個肺呀” ding2nei5go3fai3aa4 literally means “to hit your lungs”. This is an expression similar to “go to hell” in English. When you are mad with somebody or his stupid behaviour (which has offended you), you often say “頂你個肺呀” in response.
For example, today is Valentine’s Day but unluckily your boyfriend forgot buying you roses and gifts. On the phone, you can shout “頂你個肺呀 you know it’s Valentine’s Day today!” and immediately hang up. I am pretty sure you will soon receive a large bunch of flowers afterwards.
In the audio clip, you can hear the expression two times. The first time is spoken more slowly for you to distinguish the sounds and for the second time it is spoken with normal speed and with emotion. Try and practise it with your friends!!!
